Gert Voorjans
Gert Voorjans is a globally celebrated interior designer known for his bold, layered style that fuses Eastern and Western influences with a fearless use of color. Best known for his long-time collaboration with fashion designer Dries Van Noten, Gert creates richly textured spaces for private residences, luxury boutiques, and cultural institutions around the world.
Educated in interior architecture (Hasselt), art history (Siena), and decorative arts (Sotheby’s London), he began his career with Axel Vervoordt before founding his Antwerp-based design studio in 1997. His international projects span cities including London, New York, Madrid, Tokyo, and Manila.
In 2018, Gert brought his unique vision to Jim Thompson as a guest designer, debuting a striking fabric and home furnishings collection.
‘There is no place for timid, mundane, or formulaic in his design vocabulary, instead Gert’s brilliantly coloured world celebrates the daring and the exceptional. His magical roomscapes ignite our imaginations, fuel our dreams, and enhance our realities.”
