‘Samsara’ refers to the Buddhist concept of the cyclical nature of life. This scenic silk lampas weave features a design adapted from a temple mural panel, that depicts temples and figures at play in the surrounding gardens. An antiqued texture overlays the entire design, resembling the crackled, aged look of a centuries old mural painting. The fine silk and rayon yarns are both lustrous and luxurious in weight, woven in colors inspired by Chinese blue and white porcelain and a traditional multihued version on a gold background.
