Of all the semi-precious stones in Tony Duquette’s playbook, malachite was by far his favorite. He always said, “Green is a neutral color” and he often proclaimed, “Malachite is my fetish stone.” In his work, Tony Duquette used malachite patterns for floors, carpets, curtains, upholstery, and as inlay on chairs, tables and picture or mirror frames of all shapes and sizes. This new wallpaper recreates the classic swirling malachite pattern with realistic, natural detail and a glamorous high-gloss finish. In addition to the classic emerald green malachite color, the palette includes other gemstone and mineral shades, such as lapis lazuli, rose quartz and travertine.
