Often depicted in Buddhist illustrations to symbolize the circle of life, the cotton rose is a color-changing shrub whose blooms shift throughout the day. Floral motifs unfurl across this jacquard drapery, joined by pomegranates and drifting cloud forms on a softly strié ground that echoes the iconic ceiling murals of Wat Ratchaorasaram. Rooted in the Chinese-influenced style of the Rama III period, the design conveys auspicious beauty, layered detail, and gentle movement.
