This trimming is an adaptation of original tassels that Tony Duquette custom made to his specifications, which were grandly scaled for dramatic effect. For his clients, Duquette used them to trim draperies, and also placed them along the skirts of sofas, doubling them up to create a thick, rich fringe along the edges of his work. In his own houses in San Francisco and at Dawnridge in Beverly Hills, he used the tassels to trim the canopied bed hangings in his bedrooms. This updated version is created in the large scale as the original tassels, and is offered in the same colors and soft yarns as its companion trimming, Duquette Moss Fringe.
