Octavian Velvet
This geometric cut velvet is named for Octavian, the star of Duquette’s 1952 triumph for the San Francisco Opera, Der Rosenkavalier. The octagon shapes appear throughout Duquette’s work as far back as the 1960s in his iconic Ducommun House interiors. Octavian Velvet combines two shades of velvet pile against a fine cotton satin ground, creating a modern and glamorous upholstery weave.
