Hmong Resist
This charming small-scale print is adapted from a traditional batik block printed hemp pattern of Thailand’s Hmong hill tribe. The motifs are actually symbols used by the tribe to describe their life and culture. Patterned wood blocks are dipped in wax and resist printed with indigo dip dyeing. Our interpretation is screen printed on soft linen union cloth, in a range of traditional and modern colors.
