In Central Asia, ikat is known as abr bandi, which in Persian literally means 'tying the clouds', because the tie-dyed motifs appear to float, their edges softly blending into the adjacent colours. Named for this ancient term, Abra is a modern take on traditional tie-dyed textile weaving. This sophisticated jacquard fabric features an abstract pattern that resembles clouds reflecting on water, shimmering against a tightly woven ottoman ground. Its textured, stitched appearance lends decorative texture and vibrant color to interiors, and is equally suitable for use as floor-length curtains or upholstered chairs and settees.
