All the raj
A classic eighteenth century toile de jouy has been used as the inspiration for this design. Delicate trailing flowers and leaves are occasionally highlighted with accent colours which gives this design an unexpected rhythm and a twist that one has come to expect from the No.9 Thompson collection.
A simple sketch from an Indian miniature of Mughal tents inspired this design. Whilst the linen and cotton yarn construction has all the glamour of a traditional damask, further enhanced by the jewel like colour palette, the simplicity of the ogee motif keeps it sharp and up to date.
Very loosely based on recurring motifs within eighteenth century clothing, the glossy embroidered pattern contrasts with a linen ground. Three colourways add a glamorous touch to any room, and the striped format allows for many an imaginative use - wide borders along the leading edge of curtains made from our GINI damask for example.
