Every colour under the sun
Jim Thompson’s famous two-faced fabric ‘Mila’ is a two-ply slubbed silk that is woven in a warp satin construction. This enables the fabric to be fully reversible, showing two completely different colourways on its face and back, one with a smooth sheen and the other with a softly textured, tonal look.
The heaviest silk quality in Jim Thompson’s offering is ‘Marla’, which is woven with a six-ply chunky silk weft that is spun from the outer part of the silk cocoon. Updated from previous constructions, Marla is now softened to enable it to drape effortlessly and also be suitable for light upholstery and soft furnishings.
