Ed Tuttle Furniture Collection For Jim Thompson
‘Rice’ was conceptualized by the iconic American architect, Ed Tuttle and produced in-house by Jim Thompson. This special collaboration sprung from an ongoing success of many of his textile creations for our brand such as the much loved Chenille Canvas.
Our collection of indoor-outdoor fabrics draws inspiration from this tropical setting, with designs gathered from the breezy warp prints and classic patterns of traditional Southeast Asian weaving, blended with modern textures, bold stripes and geometric motifs.
Dreams by David Rockwell
In Dreams, David Rockwell’s second collaboration with Jim Thompson, he explores the world of dreams and dreamscapes for design inspiration. The collection’s thirteen textile patterns have an illusive, shadowy quality, evocative of nature, the animal world and exotic places, but just out of the grasp of comprehension, as images often appear in a dream-like state.
Gert Voorjans for Jim Thompson
Jim Thompson has collaborated with interior and architectural extraordinaire Gert Voorjans to create an exuberant fabric collection. Sharing Jim Thompson’s penchant for vibrance, colour is a key component of Gert’s designs. His schemes are notoriously unconventional, always innovative and surprising.
Every colour under the sun
With the launch of Jim Thompson’s latest collection, Every Colour Under the Sun, aptly titled for its glorious range of hues, the brand stays true to the legacy of its enigmatic founder. It continues to be the most treasured resource for exceptional handwoven silk, and builds upon its unique heritage with a deep understanding of the true luxury and quality.
Saracen is a range of high-performance fabrics that similarly reflects the opulence of a bygone era. Constructed in Trevira CS, and inspired by Moorish art and architecture and the highly decorative motifs of the Byzantine Empire, Saracen creatively brings together style and durability in equal measure.
Old world elegance and charm manifests on an array of luxury, ornamental prints to create Floriental. Inspired by oral and oriental elements, this collection sees the restoration of 18th century damasks and artisan warp printing techniques, giving historic artwork a fresh lease of life.
Canaria - Outdoor
The outdoor collection is inspired by idyllic island life and exclusive travel destinations. This theme manifests onto durable fabrics in an array of bold colourways and prints that prove that outdoor textiles need not compensate on quality, variation or luxury.
Leo De Janeiro
The collection features vibrant carnivalesque colours and graphic patterns and prints, with shades inspired by tropical flowers, as well as exotic fauna and traditional, vernacular art. Leo de Janeiro is a true celebration of rich colour, tradition, culture, exoticism, travel and nature.
New york stories
Dipping elegantly into the past, dramatic patterns of the Art Deco movement are the source of inspiration for this collection. Jim Thompson, who would later fall deeply in love with the East, had his architectural roots in New York where he spent an incredible few years in the City of Dreams, immersing himself in the grand innovative styles of the 20's and 30's.
Bonsai of the vanities
For the Spring 2016 collection Ou Baholoyodhin has gone back to the Master and sought inspiration from the Jim Thompson archives and the private collection of the Royal Palace. Through a meticulous exploration of these troves has emerged the exquisitely crafted “Bonsai of the Vanities Collection”.
Singing in the Rain - Outdoor
Based on the tradition of weaving silks and cottons, this collection goes one step further with fabrics that look like their natural counterparts. This collection has a rich, traditional quality that hold up to challenging outdoors conditions.
Our large width linen fabrics draw inspirations from the vast plains of the Kalahari Desert. From the misty dawns our translucent sheers capture the first rays of sunlight. As the sun rises above the arid savannah, reflections and shadows cast on sands, rocks and trees give rise to subtle hues and patterns.
Inspired by the demands of modern American life, Jim Thompson has created this stylish collection of inherently fire-retardant fabrics all woven in Trevria CS yarn. This selection of fabrics is perfectly suited for the hospitality market and will help make any decor vibrant and exciting.
The curtain has fallen on Jim Thompson’s latest collection of sheer fabrics and the critics’ reviews have been unanimously full of praise. These fabrics are fabulous and will star in any performance where a sheer material is needed from curtains to elegant room divider.
The In Wonderland Collection offers as many surprises as Alice had when she followed the White Rabbit down a hole. And, just as Lewis Carroll’s highly amusing Alice in Wonderland challenges the status quo, this Jim Thompson 2008 collection challenges the spirit by daring to be different.
